27 Mar 2008 - HSM3
Here are three names young people will most likely be screaming about soon: Matt Prokop, Justin Martin and Jemma McKenzie-Brown.
Never heard of 'em? Well, it wasn't that long ago when the names Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale meant nothing either. Now these stars are household names, at least among the Tween set.
And these newcomers will be joining Zac Efron and the others when they appear in High School Musical 3: Senior Year. Disney Pictures plans a theatrical release in an attempt to truly cash in on the franchise. The first two installments achieved great success airing on the Disney Channel.
High School Musical 3 will be directed by Kenny Ortega, who helmed the first two films and will executive produce as well. Ortega said, "Peter Barsocchini's exciting script called for the addition of three sophomore characters."
After auditioning a thousand teen actors in the U.S., Canada and the U.K., Ortega seems confident about his new finds. "We think these talented performers will bring lots of humor, new twists, and musical fun to the film. Jemma was one of the many young actresses that we met in London, and she impressed us with her singing and dancing, in addition to being very exciting and effervescent. Matt has a terrific personality, and a great sense of comedy and fun. And Justin had a great presence and charisma, besides being a wonderful comedic actor who could really dance."
The three new actors will be the sophomore "Wildcats" who roam the halls of East High while seniors Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens face the unknown future of graduation and separate colleges. And surely Ashley Tisdale's antagonistic character will be getting her new nose into trouble, too.
And as Matt Prokop, Justin Martin and Jemma McKenzie-Brown gain notoriety, hopefully, it will be for their performances in the film, which is to be released in October, and not for any scandalous missteps like Vanessa Hudgens. The actress hit headlines in the past when nude photos of her appeared online

26 Mar 2008 - HSM3 Cast Revealed
The hallways of East High School are about to get a little more crowded!
OK! can exclusively reveal two new stars who are joining the forthcoming High School Musical 3.
Up-and-coming actors Matt Prokop and Jemma McKenzie Brown will do their best song-and-dance alongside Zac Efron and Vanessa Hugdens, a source close to HSM3 tells OK!.
Though little is known about their roles, the source adds that the British-born Jemma seemingly scored the role of a lifetime, landing the part over hundreds of other young starlets.
"She’s 13 years old and beat out 600 girls from three countries," the source says.
This will be Jemma's second acting gig, following six appearances in the British series The Amazing Mrs. Pritchard in 2006.
Matt, 17, has Hannah Montana and The Office guest-starring credits to his name. On his official site, the young actor even teases fans by saying that he has a "HUGE announcement coming... that will blow you away!"
High School Musical 3 starts production in April and is scheduled for an Oct. 24 release

20 Mar 2008 - Lucas!!
Lucas posted on his official forum. Check it out below. He sounds extremely busy. Lets hope he enjoys his Easter.
Hey everyone!
Marc told me that he put a newer version of our message board online and that I should go check it out and post on it. Sorry it's taken me a while to log on but everything looks great! Thanks for rejoining and keeping this site positive.
Here's a little bit about what's going on in my life right now. Things are very exciting with many projects in the works and planned for the future.
The Adventures of Food Boy is in final post stages and it's looking great. I saw a rough cut of it and think it's awesome.
Alice Upside Down has been doing very well in festivals around the country.
Lock and Roll Forever is being cut right now but I'm really excited about this movie. It's really different from anything I've done and very fun.
College Road Trip is in theaters now and that was a lot of fun to work on too.
I just wrapped on Milk the movie I worked on in San Fransisco. This was one of my favorite projects so far. Learning historical characters and working on something that's important changes your perception on a lot of things. I feel very blessed and lucky to have worked on Milk and I learned a lot from everyone.
I'm starting a production company called 14341 Productions and already we've worked on a couple projects. One, Get Your Ass On, a music video that's been in Missouri film festivals and looks really good. I shot it with a friend of mine, Kelly, who's also involved in 14341 and he helped me make another short called The Real Son. We filmed that during the filming of HSM2. We're also in post of another short entitled The Adventures of Chuckle Boy. We shot a pilot presentation that's currently in post and we're all really excited about that. It's a fun and exciting tv show for kids and it's cool!
We're also coming up with, working on and creating other shorts, various projects, music videos and have plans in the future to move on to full length features!
In a couple days Marc and I are going to go to Utah to start rehearsals for HSM3. We'll be there for 4 months!
Life is very exciting and I'm very very blessed. I appreciate everything that I have in my life from good friends, to good fortune, to good all the people around me. Thank you for everything and stick around. We'll be providing links, downloads and all sorts of information on what's coming up. It's a very bright and promising future and I'm very excited about it.
Peace out,
Lucas
